First Quarter Films was formed as a partnership between filmmakers Edward and Rob Kennedy, and Andrew Mahon in 2006, creating a production company dedicated to the development of short and feature films in the horror and comedy genres. The company has had several of their films screen at festivals around the world, including ‘Trick or Treat’ at Dark Carnival Film Festival in Bloomington, Indiana, and the Ravenna Nightmare Film Festival in Italy, ‘Parking Ticket’ at the L.A. Comedy Shorts Festival, and the Galway Film Fleadh, Ireland, and in August 2009, their Horror Comedy, ‘Wheels of Death’, achieved success by winning the first ever Killer Shorts Sudden Death Competition at the Monster Mania Convention in Cherry Hill, NJ. As a result, ‘Wheels of Death’ is the first film ever to earn an advance slot in the programme for the 2009 NYC Horror Film Festival, November 2009.

First Quarter Films is now turning its attention to the development of feature films, but still plans to scare up the occasional little treat…
